Come join us at Lancaster Garden Club’s March 15th meeting for some seed starting fun!

We’ll have all the seed starting supplies you’ll need to kick start your garden and an assortment of vegetable, herb and flower seeds to choose from – all free! Plus, we’re offering two awesome workshops.

Plant Grow Light Project 6:30 - 7:30 PM
Save money by growing your favorite vegetables, annuals and perennial flowers from seed with this easy-to-build, durable plant grow light. When finished, your grow light will measure approximately 4’ long, 2’ wide and 20” high and will include two light fixtures and 4 fluorescent bulbs. All other materials are provided, precut and ready to be assembled - no special tools required. The entire grow light disassembles for ease of transportation and storage. Instructions for building additional lights on your own will be provided.
Fee: LGC members: $50 Non-members: $55 Limit: 20 people

Hoop Greenhouse Project
Extend the outdoor growing season with this hoop greenhouse! Measuring 8’ L x 4’ W x 3’ tall and covered with durable plastic sheeting, this lightweight hoop greenhouse will provide a solar-warmed environment where you can grow greens and other cold weather crops earlier in the spring and later into the fall. You can also use it to keep tender seedlings safe from frost or as a propagation chamber. As with the plant grow light project, all materials will be provided, precut, predrilled and ready to assemble, and come apart easily for transportation and storage. Instructions for building additional hoop houses on your own will be provided.

Fee: LGC members: $42 Non-members: $47 Limit: 20 people

Both projects are being offered to LGC members for the cost of materials only.

Registration and pre-payment required by March 12th.
