For the garden club's last program of the year, expert forager and author of Wild Plants I Have Known...and Eaten Russ Cohen will lead a walk at Cook Conservation Area to teach us how to identify, harvest and prepare edible and medicinal wild plants commonly found in New England.  Russ will also touch on when, where and why to forage, as well as safety and conservation issues. This walk is free and open to the public, no registration required.

The foraging walk will begin at 2:30 PM at Cook Conservation Area on Rt. 70 (Lunenburg Rd.) in Lancaster, and will run for approximately 90 minutes.  Please note: The foraged recipe tasting and annual meeting which was originally scheduled to follow the walk has been canceled.  The annual meeting will be scheduled at a date and time TBD.
