Description

This dainty charmer is so very beautiful yet tough enough to withstand the rocky mountains of its native Crete. Producing up to three flowers per stem, ‘Hilde’ begins as deep pink, pointy buds which are pretty in their own right. The buds open to reveal six star-shaped, pale pink petals with darker pink striations on the outside. Peek inside and you’ll find a golden yellow heart studded with matching stamens. The effect is as if it were painted by watercolor. Eye catching but delicate-looking at the same time. Grow this lovely, multi-flowering, compact tulip at the front of the border, along a walkway, or out by the road where passersby can share in the loveliness. Late April/May. 6” to 7”. 10 bulbs per bag.
