Description
Castor bean is a cool and unusual annual plant that's typically grown to add a tall, architectural element to the garden. Huge palmate leaves are the stars of the show, but the clusters of fuzzy pom-pom-like red flowers are also eye-catching (and the bees love them, too!). Historically used to produce castor oil, the beans can be poisonous if not processed correctly so please use this plant as an ornamental only.
Full sun. Water regularly as you would with any annual plants for best results. 6' tall.
