Description
'Jeanne d’Arc' is an award-winning Giant Dutch Crocus with large, cup-like, glistening white flowers adorned with faint purple veining on the stem, a small deep-purple base and striking orange anthers. Extremely vigorous and long-lasting, this cultivar is great for naturalizing, as it will multiply and come back year after year.
Pure like the saint it's named after, 'Jeanne d'Arc's' graceful 5" tall flowers bloom for about 3 weeks in early spring, opening on sunny days and closing at night or on cloudy days. Stunning in beds, lawns, under trees, in front of shrubs, or along walkways. Plant in groupings of 3 bulbs or more for best effect. If used in lawns, grass should not be mowed for 6 weeks after the crocuses have bloomed in order to give the bulbs time to store up energy for next year's bloom. Also great for forcing!
Award of Garden Merit by the RHS.
