Description
Commonly called Fox’s Grape Fritillary, Fritillaria uva-vulpis is a subtle beauty. With dangling purple-maroon bell-shaped flowers trimmed in yellow, it gently beckons us into spring. The interior is a delicate golden color, lined with tiny black stripes, which causes the flower to glow.
At 8-10" in height, it will return every spring and spread gently over time to form colonies of richly colored blossoms that add an unusual element to the mid-spring garden.
An heirloom bulb native to the western Himalayas.
Deer and rodent resistant. Fritillarias prefer filtered sunlight and well-draining soil.
April/May 14” 10 bulbs to a bag
