Description
‘Teal’ is a tall, elegant Trumpet Narcissus with star-shaped 4 inch-wide yellow petals with a flared trumpet that has a a wavy, almost "toothy" rim. The trumpet opens lemony yellow and gradually matures to bright white. It also features a white halo around the base of the trumpet.
By themselves, the large, bright flowers of Narcissus ‘Teal’ will strike a majestic scene in the spring garden, but for an eye-catching color combination, consider interplanting them with species tulip 'Eastern Star'. Standing only 6" tall, the magenta tulips with a yellow eye will serve as a foil for the bright yellow daffodils standing tall above. Simply plant Narcissus 'Teal' first, cover with a few inches of soil, then plant Tulip 'Eastern Star' above it.
Narcissus are super easy to grow, and are terrific naturalizers with a long bloom season. They make impressive cut flowers, and are deer, rabbit, and rodent resistant.
