Description
Albert Heijn is deep rose-pink with a purple sheen and paler pink edges. This strong tulip is named after one of the most well-known supermarkets in the Netherlands! Like other Emperor tulips, Albert Heijn is big, early and weatherproof. Perfect for planting along a walk, at the front of flower beds or in containers. The blossoms open wide on sunny days. The pink tulip, Albert Heijn, looks amazing in combination with Flaming Purissima and grape hyacinths (Muscari latifolium).
Tulips perform best when planted in full sun in rich, fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Deadhead only, allow foliage to die back naturally while next year's bloom is being developed.
