Description
The eyes have it on this six-petaled intense lilac blue flower with brilliant golden centers surrounded by a white band, and golden yellow anthers. Crocus Tricolor is looking at you! On sunny days, the early Spring flowers will open wide, and close bashfully at night or in wet weather. The three-colored structure yields fantastic multiple colors from top to bottom when the flowers are closed. Plant these in random little groups in well-draining soil so the bulbs don't become soggy. Crocus Tricolor is a lovely contrasting companion for early daffodils, and is important food source for early Spring pollinators. The flowers reliably return each year, ignored by deer, rabbits and squirrels. Tricolor crocus is great for forcing in containers, so you will want to buy in quantity to bring winter color indoors.
