Peony Amabilis is an herbaceous French heirloom from the mid-1800's, featuring fully double 5" wide fuchsia pink flowers with a slightly paler pink center. A double delight for the senses, Amabilis blossoms have a sweet nostalgic fragrance reminiscent of Victorian cottage gardens, and a charming hot pink thrills. Ideal for display or cutting, the fluffy Peony Amabilis will be a perennial staple in your classic New England garden. After the late Spring blooms, attractive deep green bushy foliage softens the landscape throughout the summer. The single tuberous rootstalk is a two-year-old Netherlands nursery-grown division with several eyes for reliable performance from your new planting.
