Description
Gorgeous and whimsical, the cormus perennial Triteleia Rudy produces multiple slender stems up to 18” tall, each topped by 1" wide open-faced, star-shaped pale blue flowers with darker indigo blue midveins and is favored by butterflies. Blooms open in late spring or early summer with the display lasting well over a month! The grassy foliage disappears as the flowers begin their bloom cycle. Grows best in full sun. It needs moist, fertile, well-draining soil with winter and spring moisture followed by summer dryness. This Zone 6 bulb (USDA Hardiness rating for Lancaster is now Zone 6A) prefers a mulch protected spot in winter.
