Ikebana is the Japanese art of arranging flowers steeped in the philosophy of developing a closeness with nature. In this hands-on workshop, instructor Gail Allo will teach us the principles of Ikebana. Then you will have the opportunity to create an elegant and simple Ikebana arrangement of your own to take home. All materials provided.

Description: Kerry Ann Mendez, owner of Perennially Yours, is dedicated to teaching the art of low- maintenance perennial gardening and landscaping. As a garden consultant, designer, author and lecturer, she focuses on time-saving gardening techniques, workhorse plants and sustainable practices. She has been in numerous magazines including Horticulture, Fine Gardening, Garden Gate and Better Homes and Gardens' Garden Ideas & Outdoor Living. And she was awarded the 2014 Gold Medal from the Massachusetts Horticultural Society presented to outstanding horticulturalists.
