Join us October 16th for a fun, hands-on workshop. Lancaster Garden Club President Corinne Walker will demonstrate techniques for forcing spring-flowering bulbs to brighten up your winter window sill. She’ll also share fascinating stories about the origin and history of bulb cultivation. Then it’s your turn to give it a go! We’ll have a variety of bulbs to choose from: tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and more – you pay only for the bulbs you choose to pot up. You provide your own containers, we'll provide the potting soil. Corinne will also have informational handouts and a selection of catalogs for browsing.
Forced bulbs are such a delight, bringing fragrance and beauty to your home in the heart of winter. They make great gifts, too. Bring a friend or two and make it a night out - we'll have wine and light refreshments.
LGC members: $5 Non-members: $10
Registration is required for this workshop and must be completed on or before October 9th. Details on recommended container size, number of bulbs you might expect to purchase, etc., will be provided upon registration.
