Speaker: Katherine Holden

This presentation will cover:

  • Introduction to canning as a means of preserving
  • Methods of preserving fresh herbs, tomatoes, peaches, apples and winter squash, to include dehydrating, canning, freezing

About the speaker:

Katherine Holden is a classically trained French chef. After a 25 year career in the software industry, she opened a personal chef business and she is now the pastry chef and owner of Kat's Bakery and More. She was employed as a private chef at the Thayer Mansion by the Maharishi TM organization for monthly weekend retreats in 2019. Her passions are food, cooking, gardening, and traveling. Katherine is also our newest member and has been a resident of Lancaster for 6 years.
