Hello Fellow Garden Club Members,

I wanted to send a note to everyone and thank you for being so patient and understanding while I learn the ropes.  Your kindness is much appreciated.  Know the calendar for the remaining year will be a blast.

This month I chose to focus on the plants we pray will survive the winter inside and how to keep our lovely plants healthy during these darker months.  Every year I tell my plants, 'I will do my best'.

Now to introduce our speaker:

Debbie Kaplan has been the Retail Division Manager for DiMeco’s for nearly 4 years. Prior to leading the DiMeco’s Team, Debbie created and owned Nature’s Bouquet, a Flower Shop in Palm Beach County Florida for 18 years. Before opening her business, Debbie cut her teeth in the Floral Industry as a floral designer at The Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach. Through the years, Debbie’s business became the House Florist for many Country Clubs, Hotels and Retail establishments. Counted among her weekly clients were Tiffany & Company, Trump International Golf Club, Palm Beach Country Club and more.

After a 14-year quest to return to New England, she is finally HOME and thankful to be here! Nowadays, Debbie is a master Floral Designer, an enthusiastic gardener and a passionate nature lover. She thrills to sharing what she knows with others, particularly connecting children and adults with nature and fanning the flame of curiosity, relationships and possibilities.

In this New Year of 2023, DiMeco’s is celebrating 25 Years of serving our local community!

A little DiMeco’s History… In 1998, Dale DiMeco began the business with just himself and a lawnmower. By 2009, DiMeco’s had become a reputable landscape, lawn maintenance and construction business in the local community. Dale decided to purchase the “Deershorn Farm” land at the corner of Route 62 and Chace Hill Road and expand DiMeco’s to include a seasonal Retail Garden Center. In March 2019, Debbie Kaplan joined DiMeco’s as its Retail Division Manager. The Flower Shop at DiMeco’s was launched in May of 2019 and DiMeco’s became a year-round business in the community.

In 2022, following favorable response from the community, the Garden Center, Flower Shop and Greenhouse offerings were augmented with unique gifts and locally sourced gourmet items. 2023 is sure to be a year of festivities and further development as DiMeco’s celebrates its 25th Anniversary and envisions its role in the community as it steps into its next 25 years.
