Time to put down your trowel and rake, take a deep breath. You deserve it! After a long, strange growing season come join us as we reflect with other gardening friends over some delicious homemade treats at the garden club’s next meeting:
Looking at the Year in Review and Planning for the Year to Come Panel Discussion
Sunday, November 17th
The College Church, 337 Main St., South Lancaster
6:30 Social gathering and refreshments
7:00 Panel discussion
This discussion will give us the opportunity to learn, plan and 'crowd share' solutions and successes. Hear from our panel of member gardeners on their gardening experiences during this challenging year. Bring your questions, tales of successes and failures, and ideas for next year. This only works with you, so please join us! We also have a generous donation of wonderful gardening books to share, too. Come take a peek at them…who doesn’t love a new-to-them gardening book?!
As many of you know, we have lost our meeting space at the Lancaster Community Center. Starting this month we will meet at our new home, The College Church at 337 Main St, South Lancaster, MA. We can't thank the College Church enough for their support and generosity in sharing their gorgeous facility with us. The College Church is a wonderful partner in our community, hosting organizations such as ours, holding blood drives and flu shot clinics, and feeding our neighbors in need by distributing food boxes for Thanksgiving. We’re very grateful for them and all they do.
While you have your calendar handy, please save the date for our December meeting, which will be a Holiday Party and gift swap on Sunday, December 3rd. Details to follow. Mark your calendars!
And lastly, the Lancaster Garden Club is co-sponsoring a Holiday Centerpiece Workshop at the Thayer Memorial Library on December 1st, 1 pm. - 4 pm. Sign up at the Library, but don’t wait! Their great programs sell out quickly so check them out and sign up early! See you on Sunday!
